SANTO DOMINGO, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Haitian Prime Minister Jean-Max Bellerive said here Wednesday that Haiti was considering holding presidential and ...
...legislative elections between November this year and February 2011.
The 7.3-magnitude earthquake in January disrupted Haiti's political agenda. Haiti's electoral council said last month that the country's legislative elections, originally scheduled between Feb. 28 and March 3, had been postponed to an unspecified later date.
The 2010 legislative elections would feature over 900 candidates, 99 deputies and 11 senators. The presidential election was originally scheduled in November.
