Plenty of celebrities say “don’t forget Haiti,” but Chris Brown is not only talking the talk, he’s walking the walk.
The 20-year-old star will host and ...
... headline Virginia Stand Up! A Call To Action, a star-studded concert in his hometown to benefit earthquake ravaged Haiti and help fight hunger locally in Richmond on May 15. Proceeds from the concert will benefit The American Red Cross, Greater Richmond Chapter and The Central Virginia Food Bank.
Currently confirmed on the bill include VA native Trey Songz, Keri Hilson, T-Pain, Ryan Leslie, Mario, and Juelz Santana. Other artists will be announced in the coming weeks.
“I wanted to find a way to contribute personally to the ongoing Haitian relief effort and also support an organization that helps people in need in my home state,” Brown said in a statement. “The images I see on television, both in my community and in Haiti, remind me that everyone has to do their part.”
Virginia Stand Up! A Call to Action will be held at the Siegel Center, located at the Virginia Commonwealth University. For tickets, visit LiveNation.com.
